Imperial Order of the Star of Ethiopia

1st Class with Jewels, instituted in 1884. Breast Star, 77 mm., gilt Silver, hallmarked, with 11 pierced rays, flanked by 11 smaller ones, all decorated with stylized palmettes, the centre, bearing a red jewel surrounded by a complex pattern of pierced ornaments, with 4 futrther, red and blue jewels, the reverse with tapering, vertical pin.
A rare piece, in extremely fine jeweler's quality, excellent condition! I R!
