Order of Mecîdî

A jewelled miniature with silver rays flanked by crescents and stars, completely set with tiny Diamonds; centre medallion in gilt silver, embossed with the Tughra; red enameled outer circlet in gold, with Arab, calligraphic inscriptions; red enameled crescent and star suspension in gold, surmounted by a diamond; the reverse, fitted with long, lapel pin in gold.
A beautiful, preciously-made miniature, probably of French manufacture from the 2nd half of 19th Century, excellent condition.
