An early 19th Century 2nd Class Neck Badge of the Order in Gold, as a four-armed cross made of pink Gold, with red enamel to the obverse, flanked by yellow-gold eagles with spreaded wings; white enameled centre medallion with red, miniature-painted order’s monogram, within golden outer circlet, enriched with green enameled laurel wreath; smooth, polished reverse, with white enameled centre medallion, similar to the obverse’s one; ornamented upper loop, its ring, struck with Russian gold marks, and the date 1840; gold-wire, doubled ribbon ring and original, silk neck ribbon; in the original, red morocco case of issue with cyrillic inscrption embossed to the outer lid and fitted cream-velvet inner compartment.
