The Order of Saint Anne

A Golden Bar of the Order, for Military Merit: rectangular with polished boder and the centre with beautifully-done “frosted” finish, each bearing the crowned Order’s merit medal in Gold and red enamel, with an obliquely-fitted “Epée”; each beneath; fitted with its original ribbon.
A beautiful bar, as used in the period of the Napoleonic wars and shortly after, after the Austrian use of the so-called “Mode-Spangen”, a forerunner of the field ribbon bars as in use from the late 19th Century; excellent condition.
