Royal Order of Aviz

A Breast Star of the Order of Prince size, with alternated polished and beaded rays; the upper one, with large, enameled Sacred Heart in gold; silver centre medallion bearing the green enameled Order’s cross in gold with chiseled details, within a broad, convex outer circlet of gold with “frosted” finish and chiseled details; smooth reverse with two golden hooks, a blued screw to retail the obverse’s centre and screwback suspension device.
A beautiful, rare star of uncommon manufacture, from the early 19th Century; highly attractive an in excellent condition.
