Military Order of Christ

An early 19th Century, jewelled cross of the Order in Silver; to the obverse, the arms completely set with cut, red stones, centered by a latin cross of rose-cut diamonds; smooth reverse; hinged, upper suspension, as a stylized bundle of flowers tied by a scrolling riband, the whole, set with Diamonds, its reverse, fitted with suspension loop; with a length of original ribbon.
A beautiful piece of the finest manufacture, in the typical slightly reduced size, as usually worn by the Portuguese nobility of the time; excellent condition.
