Military Order of Christ

A jewelled badge of the Order: Silver, oval, openwork medallion, completely set with white stones, bearing the Order’s cross to the centre, this set with red pastes and centered by a smaller cross, set with tiny diamonds, the whole flanked by further diamonds and cylindrical, small upper suspension loop; smooth reverse.
A beautifully-made badge as worn by the Order’s knights at the end of 18th and in the early 19th Century, excellent condition.
