The embroidered Breast Star of the order of St. Aleksandr
Nevsky, belonged to the infante dom Miguel de Bragança
The rays made of Silver sequines and spirally made silver thread; white silk centre medallion bearing the crowned order’s monogram in golden thread; faded-red, solk outer circlet bearing the cyrillic Order’s Motto in gold bullion thread, with gold-yellow laurel leaves and Imperial crown below; the reverse, backed with ivory-colour paper.
A beautiful, early embroidered star from the 1st quarter of 19th century, belonged and worn by Dom Miguel, later Miguel I, King of Portugal; excellent condition and nicely toned.

note: Miguel I (1802 1866), also nicknamed “The Absolutist”, or “The Usurper”, or “The Traditionalist”, was King of Portugal between 1828 and 1834, being then forced to exile, until his death. I RR!
