A Grand Cordon Class Collar in gilt Silver, composed by 13 round medallions with embossed Arab inscription; 12 crowns and the centre forward link as Oman’s coat of arms, all connected by means of short chainlets; the badge as a double, openwork six-pointed star, made in gilt silver, resp. enriched with pastes, set to each point, resting on stylized, filigrée leaves; centre medallion gilt with deep-sea blue enamel filled, elaborate Arabic, calligraphic inscription; red enameled outer circlet, also bearing a long, Arabic inscription in gold, the whole within a blue enameled 12-pointed star with golden, ornamental highlights; on top, the Omani crown fitted with two round loops and rings to append the badge to the collar; in the original, large presentation case, with ivory velvet, fitted inner compartment and cream-white, silk inner cushion.
An outstandingly rare collar of this order, destined as a reward to reigning Royals and heads of state. The recipients of this order are considered as “Brothers of the State”; excellent condition.
