The Order of Dannebrog

An early Commander’s Star of Prince size, 59x47 mm.,, chiseled Silver bearing to its centre the crowned Royal cypher “W” and the arms with the Order’s Motto “GUD OG KONGEN” made of chiseled gold lettering, the whole within red enameled border and a beaded golden frame, the reverse with the tiny nuts retaining the obverse’s elements and fitted with typical double pin, jeweler’s mark ”AM” of A. Michelsen, Copenhagen.
A beautiful, preciously-made star from ca. 1870–75, finest quality and excellent condition. I R!
