Sash Badge, 68 x 62 mm., GOLD, four-armed cross with accurate chiselwork under the translucent red enamel, flanked by the typical ornaments, chiseled and pierced, obverse centre medallion with miniature-enamel, moulded outer circlet, the reverse with white enameled medallion, bearing monogram, struck with Russian maker's mark "BA, Edouard", round upper loop, this, struck with Russian gold marks "56, Kokoshnik", with modern sash ribbon. Breast Star, 88 mm., Silver, maker's mark "BA, Edouard", hallmarked "84, Kokoshink", with polished rays, centre medallion with monogram, within golden border, green enameled outer circlet with separately-made motto in silver “PREMIANDO INCITAT”, chiseled golden border, smooth reverse with long pin. A set in the best Russian manufacture from the 19th Century, in excellent condition. I
