Louis XVI Style Cartel Clock

A classic Louis XVI style cartel clock with a marquetry wood frame, violin-shaped, resting on four gilt scroll feet, with painted floral decoration on the pediment and base, a seed-shaped finial, and an engraved silver-plated metal dial with Roman numerals. Swiss made by Comtesse, mid-20th century, in good overall condition. Dimensions: 38 x 20 x 9 cm.
