A complete group of the “Piccolo Collare” in silver Gilt: 16 rectangular links bearing the Gothic word “FERT”, sided by Savoy’s knots and flowers (the last two, one fitted with two thin hooks the other with two small loops as a closure); 16 links bearing a pierced Savoy’s knot sided by flowers and a centre, roughly V-shaped link with the pierced inscription “FERT”, to which the badge is suspended by means of a tiny ring; the badge, with the scene of the Annonciation, within a frame of Savoy’s knot tied by a golden riband enriched by stylized flowers and forming the oval, upper loop with suspension ring; Breast Star, with rays made by 8 groups of golden flames; quadrilobated centre medallion with the golden scene of the Annonciation on silver, “sequined” ground within golden frame enriched with separately-made, golden Savoy’s knots and silver flowers; the motto “FERT” made of separate, golden letters on silver escutcheons decorated with an engraved checquered pattern, sided by acanthus leaves; the reverse, with silver, smooth plate to which the obverse elements are mounted bt menas of screws and rivets; fitted with vertical pin. The whole, in a privately-made, fitted case with purple-red velvet inner lining.
