A Breast Star of the Order of Prince size in Silver, the arms completely set with faceted, diamond-cut steel beads, including the fleurs de lys flanking the arms, the whole enriched with details in gold; the centre in gold, embossed with the image of the Saint, wearing bishop’s robes done with polychrome enamels, holding the sacred ampoules and below, gold- bordered, night-blue enameled scroll bearing the motto “IN SANGUINE FŒDUS” slightly concave, polished reverse, with broad pin of flattened section.
A most rare piece from the late 18th early 19th Century, undoubtedly from the workshop of Naple’s court jeweler Carlo Landriani; excellent condition.
