Order of the Power of the Thunder Dragon

A Gilt Silver Collar of the Order composed by 8 links representing the “dorji” or crossed bolts and 8 links shaped as dragons; the badge of the order in the form of a cross, whose arms are made by 4 “dhung” (or the ritual trumpet), flanked by 4 “dorji”; obverse centre medallion enameled with Bhutan’s colours of yellow and red, with the golden dragon; reverse medallion with stylized, crossed “dhungs”, within engraved inscription “ORDER OF DRUK WANGYEl”.
The collar is worn by the King himself and was awarded in a very restricted number, to foreign sovereigns and heads of state. Of the highest rarity! Dim.: the collar, 91,0 cm.; the badge, 70,0 x 63,0 mm. I RR!
