A Special Class “Mariscal Francisco Solano Lopez” Collar, composed of 7 Golden links made as the Order’s badge, with enameled details and 7 Silver links made as the Order’s Breast Star, all linked by means of thin chainlets; Badge of the Order in gilt Silver: five pointed, white enameled, gold bordered star, flanked by straight, polished rays and surrounded by green enameled laurel and palm wreath; centre medallion with bust of General F. Solano Lopez, within blue enameled outer circlet bearing the inscription “MARISCAL FRANCISO SOLANO LOPEZ HONOR ET GLORIA”; reverse medallion with the year “1865” on pebbled ground, within blue enameled outer circlet bearing the Order’s motto “PRAEMIVM MERITI”; above a waving scroll forming the upper loop, linked to a horizontal laurel wreath; upper, moulded, tapering suspension ring.
