Military Order of St. Yago of the Sword

An early Breast Star of the Order: silver rays, alternately diamond-cut chiseled and pierced (one ball- finial, wanting) and smooth; “waffle” engraved centre medallion with the order’s cross in gold and translucent red enamel, within diamond-cut outer circlet; upper, sacred heart in gold and enamels; smooth reverse, with round, counter-medallion and long, round pin; in the original, gold embossed, red morocco case of issue, with ivory-white velvet and silk inner compartment.
A rare star, from the first period of the Empire, excellent condition. Dim.: 47,0 x 39,8 mm. I RR!
