Military Order of Christ

An unusual, early Breast Badge of the Order of somewhat reduced size: oval medallion in gold, made as an ornated frame with finely chiseled details of a laurel wreath, bearing in the centre the Order’s cross enriched with enamels and flanked by beams; upper, hinged royal crown and round ribbon ring.
A beautiful and accurately made piece from the early 19th Century, of great rarity and excellent condition. Dim.: 45,0 x 21,0 mm. I RR!
