A complete Grand Cross set of the Order; Sash Badge in Gold with white enameled points with ball- finials, flanked by groups of three polychrome enameled roses, resting on green enameled leaves; centre medallion of polished gold with applied, chiseled Imperial monogram, within blue enameled outer circlet bearing the golden inscription “AMOR E FIDELIDADE” and a stylized bow; reverse centre medallion also in gold, but chiseled with a “beaming” pattern, bearing the date of foundation of the Order in gold numerals, within blue enameled outer circlet bearing the names of the Imperial couple “PEDRO E AMELIA” and a bow, similarly to the obverse; upper, hinged Imperial crown with finely chiseled details, round suspension ring and original, silk sash with cockade and button; Breast Star in Gold with the enameled order’s badge resting on a round base chiseled with a beaming pattern, the tips, slightly protruding off the enameled “roses”, the upper point with the Brazilian Imperial crown, also with chiseled details; polished reverse, with golden, vertical pin; the whole in the original, bordeaux-red velvet case, with pearl-white, fitted inner compartment, the lid, with gold embossed Imperial monogram “P.II.”.
