ORDER OF MALTA

An early Breast Badge for a Knight of the Order, 30x18 mm., GOLD, in the form of an oval medallion with knurled border and matted field, bearing on both sides the white enameled Order’s cross flanked by fleurs de lys, suspension loop as a stylized acanthus leaf with flattened top (this, struck with two marks, a “palm-tree” and the number “32”).
An extremely rare badge, from the mid 18th Century, as worn by the Knights of the Maltese Order on their habit; excellent condition and beautiful, attractive quality. I RR!
