The Order of the Ancient Nobility or of the Four Emperors

Breast Star of the Order, 75 x 75 mm., Silver, gold-bordered cross with chiseled and pierced arms, flanked by golden flames, sea-blue enameled centre medallion bearing golden allegory of an angel guiding a man, within similarly enameled outer circlet bearing inscription “ILLUSTRIORIB. ET NOBILLIORIB.” In separately applied, chiseled, golden lettering, the reverse with vertical pin and two side-hooks.
An extremely rare breast star, of the highest quality from the early 19th Century, excellent condition. I RR!
