Chiseled, tapering suspension ring, its obverse with a section profusely set with diamonds, with original, neck ribbon. Breast Star, 90,0 mm., GOLD, with chiseled rays, white enameled centre medallion with the order’s cross in gold and red enamel, centered by Christ’s Cross set with tiny diamonds, chisleled and embossed outer circlet, within an outer border in silver as stylized acanthus leaves, set with diamonds, smooth, polished reverse with maker’s escutcheon of Da Costa, Lisbon and vertical pin, this, struck with Portuguese gold marks, in the original dark red morocco presentation case, the lid, with corner of separately-made embossed sheet-gold and the dedication “A SUA EXCELENCIA O CHEFE DE ESTADO ALMIRANTE AMERICO THOMAS A COMUNIDADE PORTUGUESA NO BRASIL POR OCASIÃO DA VISITA OFICIAL”;, black velved, fitted inner compartment and original lapel rosette.
