Order of Mecîdî

A jeweled Miniature, 25 x 18 mm., Silver rays flanked by crescents and stars, completely set with 246 tiny Diamonds, centre medallion in gilt silver, embossed with the Tughra, red enameled outer
circlet in gold, with Arab, calligraphic inscriptions, red enameled crescent and star suspension in
gold, surmounted by a diamond, the reverse, fitted with long, lapel pin in gold.
A beautiful, preciously-made miniature, probably of French manufacture from the 2nd half of 19th Century, excellent condition. I RR!
