Order of the Golden Fleece

A bestowal document addressed to Archduke Leopold (1797–1870), nephew to the Emperor and later Grand Duke of Tuscany; given in Vienna, March 9th 1810, bearing the original signature of Emperor Francis I and of Anton Pfleger v. Wertenau (Chancellor of the Order) and Thomas Young (Secretary to the Imperial Cabinet and acting “Greffier” of the Order), 72,7 x 51,5 cm., the lower centre of the document, with embossed seal of the Order.
A beautiful, calligraphic paper, written in French being the language of the Order, extremely rare, when addressed to members of the Imperial Family, excellent condition. I- RR!
