Miniature Portrait of Prince Ferdinand of Bulgaria

Painted Medallion, 32 x 24 mm., GOLD, with the young Prince wearing the white army field uniform of a General, enclosed in a double, golden oval frame with stylized “knots”, the reverse, with oval, golden plate, engraved with the cyrillic “F” monogram, under Bulgaria’s Princely crown, upper loop and thick, oval suspension ring.
An interesting pendant, most probably worn by the first or the second monarch’s wife, extremely fine and attractive patina. I R!
