BULGARIA - Royal Souvenirs with Provenance of H.M. Ferdinand I, Tsar of Bulgaria

Breast Badge, 27 x 18,5 mm., GOLD, with chiseled, cyrillic crowned “A”, resting on oval, medallion, concave towards the centre, the border, as a “garter” with a buckle below, with black enameled motto “с нами богь”, the reverse, fitted with oblique, round pin.
A scarce, beautiful honour badge of the Royal Cypher, as awarded by the first Prince of Bulgaria, excellent condition.
Alexander Joseph (in Bulgarian: Александър I Батенберг, 5 April 1857 – 23 October 1893), known as Alexander of Battenberg, the first Prince (Knyaz) of the Principality of Bulgaria from 1879 until his abdication in 1886, after the political turmoils following the suspension of the democratic constitution, declared by the Prince after Russia’s suggestion. After abdication, the Prince moved to Austria, where he entered in service of the Imperial Army. I RR!
