Order of the Sun and the Lion

Jewelled 1st Class Badge of the Order: Silver, completely set with white, cut stones of different size; centre medallion of fine enamel miniature with the couching lion and the rising sun beneath, within a thin, gold border; hinged suspension; the upper loop, struck with the French “swan” mark for pieces passed in auction; with original, silk sash ribbon.
