Breast Star of the Order, 88 mm, Silver, the arms made to imitated the sequined embroidery; centre medallion with separately-made and applied image of the Saint, within the outer circlet with the order`s motto; smooth reverse, with vertical pin; in the original, red morocco fitted case of issue, with the Ducal crown embossed in gold on the lid; the inner cushion, with maker`s mark of Rothe, Vienna. A beautifully executed, rare star, dating before the fall of the Tuscan state and the Austrian exile; excellent condition and beautiful, dark patina.I R!
