1st Class Star with Diamonds: Breast Star in sSlver, set with Diamonds; GOLD centre medallion, red enameled with Arabic inscription: “Abdülaziz Khan, Sovereign of the Ottoman State, who relies on Divine Guidance”, green enameled outer circlet; the reverse with broad, gold pin.
An outstandingly rare star of the highest class of this order, with the most important Royal provenance, instituted at the end of 1861, awarded by the Sultan for exceptional merits towards the Turkish sovereign; extremely fine condition, together with awarding document of the “Mourrassa” (with jewels) division of this Order under the rule of Sultan Mehmet VI, to Prince Omer Faruk, son of the Calife Abdulmedjid II.
