1st Class Breast Star in chiselled and pierced silver with GOLD centre medallion, embossed with the Sultan’s Tughra, red enamelled details and applied gilt silver scrolls with inscriptions; the reverse, with broad pin struck with the maker’s mark of Arthus Bertrand, Paris (the catch, with French silver marks) and two hooks; with original, full length sash.
An interesting star of French manufacture from the first decade of 20th Century; extremely fine condition. Dim.: 92,0 x 90,0 mm. I R!
