2nd Class Badge in GOLD and red enamel; centre medallion with the Sultan’s tughra also in gold and green enamel, the cartouches with the words “charity” – “devotion” – “Assistance” in gold, Arabic lettering; separately mounted rays in gold, set with brilliants; green enameled laurel wreath, also set with brilliants; smooth reverse with five-pointed star within laurel wreath and a horizontal, narrow pin; red enameled Crescent and Star suspension and grooved ribbon ring with two needles on the reverse; original, ladies’ ribbon-bow; in the original, dark red velvet covered case of issue, with gilt laurel wreath and star applied to the lid.
