Collar of the Order in gilt Silver: 17 golden, red enameled stylized roses, flanked by seven diamond-cut pastes each, 13 of them centered by six-pointed stars; the three towards the badge, super imposed by a calligraphic, arabic inscription meaning “Qiladat al-Hussein bin-Ali” or “The Collar of Hussein bin-Ali”; 16 golden, six-pointed stars, all linked by thin golden chains; oval badge, with red enameled centre medallion bearing the arabic inscription “Hussein bin-Ali” surrounded by pierced, thin golden beams, within broad border set with 20 diamond-cut pastes in a pattern of stylized foliage; decorated, pierced, upper suspension. An extremely rare Collar of the order, instituted on June 22nd, 1949, reserved to the sovereign
and rarely awarded to heads of state only; on September 23rd, 1967, enlarged with the creation of the “Grand Cordon” class, reserved to royal princes and princesses and to foreign prime ministers and most prominent personalities; excellent condition.
