Grand Officer's Set in Diamonds. Neck Badge, 51x44 mm., gilt Silver, black enameled eagle bearing Spain’s coat-of-arms surmounted by an
Imperial crown, resting on green enameled palm leaves, tied by an orange-red enameled knot and
a crescent below, smooth reverse with round suspension ring and loop bestowed with Diamonds and long ribbon. Breast Star, 75 mm, gilt Silver, multipart construction, superimposed parts Silver, enameled, reverse with long thin vertical pin and two side hooks.
A beautiful, important and very rare set of this rarely awarded order, discontinued after the
end of the Spanish civil war and reintroduced in 1950, awarded mostly to native personalities, it
had to be returned at the recipient’s death, thus its rarity, especially with diamonds, excellent condition.
