Complete Group of Dame Grand Cross, 1st Type, 70x42 mm, gilt Silver badge with pale blue and green enameled details, the centre with the image of the Virgin and the Child Jesus Christ in the finest enamel work, within a white enameled circlet with inscription, reverse medallion with royal monogram "G II" (for King George II), hinged crown suspension and original ladies` sash. Breast Star, 72 mm, in Silver, with typical rays, finely painted centre medallion within white enameled outer circlet with inscription, the reverse with concave counter-medallion and broad pin struck with the "KELAIDES" mark and two hooks, in the original, dark blue case of issue with the Virgin embossed in gold on the lid and the maker`s mark of Kelaides, Athens, printed on the inner cushion. A very rare group of this order instituted in 1948 and awarded to noble, high-ranking ladies for exceptional humanitarian merits, extremely fine condition. I RR!
