Order of the Sun and the Lion

1st Class Badge of the Order, Civil Class. Sash Badge, 85x65 mm., Silver, hallmarked, maker's mark "VM, Mayer's - Wien", "FR", with chiseled and pierced rays, gilt and green enameled intermediate rays, centre medallion with a very fine enameled miniature, representing the couching lion and a rising sun.
A very rare badge of Austrian manufacture, dating to the 19th Century, of a beautiful workmanship, in best condition. I RR!
