Grand Officer`s Set of the 1st type in GOLD and enamels (minor chips), 69x45 mm, centre medallion with King Otto`s head facing right, and the colours of Bavaria on the reverse`s centre, suspension crown linked to the cross with the typical loop and thin hinge of the Bavarian-made pieces, plain, polished ribbon ring, original neck ribbon. Breast Star, 75 mm, with chiseled and pierced rays, centre medallion in gold, with applied the enameled order`s cross, within blue enameled outer circlet bearing golden, Greek inscription, the reverse, with French marks and the maker`s escutcheon of Halley, Paris, further, the award papers dated July, 1853, to the Spanish gentleman Don Jose Pizarro.A very rare and superb set, very fine condition.
