Sash badge, 74x51 mm in Silver and enamels; obverse centre medallion with red enameled fields and applied crowned monogram “ДI” and inscription “ЗА НЕЗАВИЗИМОСТЪ ЦРНЕ ГОРЕ” (For the Independence of Montenegro) in gold; reverse centre medallion with the date of independence “1852.3” and around, the same motto of the obverse “ЗА НЕЗАВИЗИМОСТЪ ЦРНЕ ГОРЕ”, also applied in gold; suspension crown in gold and original sash ribbon. Breast star with chiseled silver rays, 79 mm, superimposed with the enameled centre, like the badge’s obverse, with gold details to the centre medallion; the reverse, with broad, vertical pin (this, struck with mark of Arhus Bertrand, Paris) and two side-hooks. A highly attractive and rare group of this order in the finest French manufacture, extremely fine condition.
