Polychrome rectangular icon on panel and silver oklad, representation of Saint Andrew the apostle in majesty presenting his gospel book, large ornate chasuble and pectoral medallion, the saint under the auspices of Christ and of Mary in glory. Uniform framing border with small fins. Beautiful, subtle achievement, fine and expressive quality painting. Russian work from the mid-19th century. Good condition despite the wounds of time, friction, wear and minor detachment of the oklad. Dimensions 31 x 26 cm.
