The Order of Melusine, created by Marie de Lusignan

Commander’s Cross, instituted in 1881. Neck Badge, 77×48 mm, gilt Silver, one side enameled, original suspension ring, loop and ribbon, inscription on reverse “ORDRE DE MELUSINE – 1186”, together with awarding document to a French employee of the Canal de Suez Company in Egypt, dated 20th of February 1887. A beautiful and rare badge, of high jeweller’s quality, of the 2nd part of the 19th century, together with a very interesting document, in mint condition! I R!
