Grand Cross Set, 4th Republic (1870–1940). Sash Badge, 91×61 mm., Silver, enameled, large suspension ring and original, full sash. Breast Star, 90 mm., Silver, hallmarked, with chiselled and pierced rays, centre medallion with Marianne on a highly polished ground, outer circlet with order’s motto “HONNEUR ET PATRIE”, enriched in-and-out with diamond-cut silver circlets, reverse broad pin and two hooks. In original used case of issue, by “Arthus Bertrand – Paris”, with gilt initials on the lid, together with lapel hole rosette. Extremely fine condition and rare!I-/II R!
